Targeted, hands-on soft-tissue therapy to release tight muscles, ease pain and restore the way you move. Our qualified massage therapists tailor every session to your body, pain points and movement goals.
Remedial massage is a therapeutic, results-focused treatment designed to find and address the source of your muscular pain, not just mask it.
Unlike a relaxation massage, remedial massage begins with a short assessment to understand where your tension is coming from. Your therapist then uses a combination of techniques (deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and stretching) to release tight muscles, break down adhesions and improve circulation and mobility.
It is an ideal treatment for the everyday tension of desk-bound Sydney CBD life (sore necks and shoulders, tight lower backs and tension headaches), as well as sports and overuse strains, and recovery between training sessions. Every treatment is tailored to your body, your goals and the areas giving you trouble.
With appointments available before work, on your lunch break or after work, and on-the-spot HICAPS health-fund claiming, relief fits neatly into your day. Book directly with the therapist who is right for you and start feeling better today.

A "normal" or relaxation massage uses light, flowing strokes to help you unwind and de-stress. Remedial massage is a therapeutic treatment that starts with a short assessment to identify the source of your muscular pain or tension, then uses targeted techniques, such as deep tissue, trigger point and myofascial release, to address it. The goal is a lasting improvement in how you feel and move, not just a temporary sense of relaxation.
Your therapist starts with a brief history and a quick assessment of your posture, movement and problem areas to work out where your tension is really coming from. They then use a tailored blend of hands-on techniques, such as deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and stretching, to release tight muscles, ease pain and improve circulation and mobility. Throughout the session they check in on pressure and comfort, and finish with simple self-care advice, like stretches and posture tips, to help the results last.
For most people, yes. Because remedial massage is assessment-led and targets the actual source of your pain or tension rather than just relaxing the surface, it tends to deliver more meaningful, longer-lasting relief, especially for recurring issues like desk-related neck and shoulder tension, lower back tightness or sports and overuse strains. Many clients also find it helps them move more freely and stay on top of niggles before they turn into injuries. And if your health policy includes remedial massage extras cover, you can claim on the spot, which makes it even better value.
Only as much as you are comfortable with. Your therapist will ask you to undress to your comfort level for the areas being treated, and you are professionally draped with towels at all times, so only the area being worked on is ever exposed. Many treatments, such as neck, shoulder or back work, can be done with underwear left on, and you are always welcome to keep clothing on if you prefer. You will have privacy to undress and dress, and your comfort comes first at every step.
No. You can book directly with one of our massage therapists without a referral. A referral is only required if you are accessing care through Medicare (Chronic Disease Management), DVA, Workcover or NDIS, in which case your GP or case manager will provide it.
Yes, if your policy includes remedial massage extras cover. We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming so you only pay the gap on the day. We accept all major health funds, plus Workcover, DVA and NDIS where applicable. If you are unsure about your level of cover, check with your fund before your appointment.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing you can move in. Please bring your private health fund card if you would like to claim on the spot, along with any relevant scans, referral letters or GP care plans. We provide clean towels and everything else needed for your treatment.
Most appointments run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on how many areas you would like treated. Longer sessions allow more time to work thoroughly through problem areas. Our reception team can help you choose the right length when you book.
Remedial massage should be comfortable, though working through tight muscles and trigger points can cause some temporary discomfort, often described as a "good hurt". Your therapist works within your comfort level and adjusts the pressure based on your feedback throughout the session. Some mild soreness afterwards is normal and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours.
It depends on your condition and your goals. Acute tension often eases significantly within one to three sessions, while long-standing or work-related tightness may benefit from a regular maintenance schedule. Your therapist will recommend a realistic plan and adjust it as your symptoms improve.
Drink plenty of water, keep moving gently and avoid intense exercise for the rest of the day. Your therapist may give you a few simple stretches or self-care tips to help maintain the results. If you feel a little sore, a warm shower and light movement usually help.
